David Ripley is the Chief Executive Officer at Kraken, a global digital asset platform. Before becoming Kraken’s CEO, Dave served as Kraken’s Chief Operating Officer for six years, playing an instrumental role as it grew to become one of the largest crypto platforms in the world. Under his guidance, Kraken scaled the business, completing 16 acquisitions and securing a significant number of partnerships and regulatory licenses. Prior to Kraken, Dave was the CEO and Co-Founder of Glidera, an award-winning non-custodial wallet and funding service provider. Kraken acquired Gildera in 2016. Before coming to crypto, David spent more than decade in product development and consultancy, advising Fortune 500 executives on strategic priorities across multiple industries. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
