Katty Kay is a BBC correspondent based in Washington DC. She's the co host of the new podcast The Rest is Politics US with Anthony Scaramucci. Katty has covered 5 US Presidential elections, sex scandals in the White House, financial crashes and wars around the world. She brings a unique global perspective to US current events. 

She is also the co-author of 4 New York Times bestselling books examining the role of women in leadership. 

Katty grew up in the Middle East where her father was a British diplomat. As a journalist she has lived in Africa, Japan and Europe. She moved to the US in 1996. She speaks fluent French and Italian and what she describes as rusty Japanese. Katty lives in Washington DC with her husband, 4 children and a cat called Cat.
