Nathalie Mamo

Sports News Anchor

Born into a family of athletes, Nathalie Mamo inherited a passion for sports that set the stage for a remarkable journey. With her father and grandfather leading the national basketball team, the court was destined to be her second home.

Through sheer discipline and determination, Nathalie made history as the first Arab player to enter the first division at just 11. She went on breaking one barrier then another, garnering over 65 titles and earning a legacy as one of Lebanon’s most decorated athletes. Captaining the Women’s National Team, she became the youngest player to secure an Arab Championship and propelled the team from Division B to A in Asia.

In 2012, at the age of 26, Nathalie retired from a stellar basketball career to embark on a new challenge. Her journey from the court to the screen began with MTV Lebanon, where she became Lebanon’s first female sports news presenter. This marked the start of a groundbreaking career in sports media. Her on-screen path then soared when she joined Sky News Arabia in 2012. For five years, she captivated audiences with morning shows and sports bulletins, providing the region prime access to international sports events. Hosting “The Victorious,” the region’s premier sports reality show, and becoming the first female host of WWE in the region were just a few of the milestones in her diverse television career.

Beyond the screen, Nathalie has graced numerous stages as a host and MC. From being the first Arab to host the Global Soccer Awards and the World Football Summit to unveiling the FIFA World Cup Official Match Ball, Nathalie’s achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2021, she was notably honored as the UAE’s Sports Media Personality of the Year.

A true testament to determination and resilience. The legacy of Nathalie’s journey does not merely lie in the records she shattered but in the path she paved for aspiring female athletes and sports broadcasters alike.
