Nicolas Cabrera is the VP of Product at Lightspark and a member of the leadership team. Most recently, Nicolas was the Chief Product Officer of Bakkt, the Digital Asset Payment and Crypto Exchange platform funded by ICE:NYSE. He led all product strategy & crypto payment platform development, was on the leadership team, and took the company public in 2021.  Before joining Bakkt, Nicolas co-founded Westfield Labs/OneMarket, the retail innovation business funded by Westfield that developed unique retail product solutions around mobile payments, eCommerce & integrated digital wallets - he grew the business to a multi-million dollar platform with more than 250 large retail partners. Westfield Labs was  #25 in the 2015 Fast Company World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies list. Previously, he held leadership roles at eBay and PayPal Australia as Head of Product and Brand, based in Sydney, where he led various global product innovations such as the PayPal marketplace, checkout button, eBay merchants’ seamless integration, and merchant data tracking. He brings 20+ years of product & commercial leadership experience in Digital Assets, Crypto, and Payments across multiple geographies in the USA, Europe, and Australia/NZ. Nicolas holds an Executive MBA from UCLA and a Bachelor of Business degree from the Institute Commercial of Nancy, France. He was named to the Asia Pacific AdNews Top 40 under 40 in 2011. Nicolas owns five patents in digital asset and payment solutions.
