Rashan Colbert is the Head of Policy at dYdX Trading, where he leads the company’s legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and beyond. He works with the mission to democratize access to financial opportunity and keep the future of DeFi and crypto open by ensuring that developers are free to build open source software accessible to users all over the world.

dYdX is DeFi’s pro trading platform; a fully decentralized standalone app-chain for trading perpetual futures contracts. dYdX Trading is a US based, public benefit corporation developing open-source software and supporting the dYdX protocol in alignment with builders, traders, and stakeholders in the web3 community.

Before joining dYdX, Rashan spent years working on Capitol Hill leading senator Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) work on technology, telecommunications, and commerce issues including Artificial Intelligence, Big Tech regulation, privacy, and digital assets. He has significant political and campaign experience including Congressional races and two Presidential campaigns.
