Rich Widmann is the Global Head of Strategy for Web3 at Google Cloud, where he helped launch Google’s first Web3 efforts and oversees the ongoing execution of Google Cloud’s Web3 strategic roadmap and partnerships.

Formerly, Rich was a litigator and regulatory lawyer handling matters such as the FIFA World Cup bribery schemes, until 2017 when he began representing founders and startups in the Ethereum ecosystem in high stakes disputes.   Rich has served on the board of a regulated cryptocurrency custodian, and he is also an adjunct professor at the Northwestern Pritzker University School of Law where he teaches a JD/MBA course on cryptocurrency technology and regulations.
