Samantha (Sam) Rosenstock is Deputy CIO of External Alpha at Man Group where she is responsible for analysis across hedge funds, private credit, and private equity – an expert in multi-asset class allocation across alternative investments with a key focus on opportunities and outlook across public and private markets, quantitative investing, asset allocator trends, and sustainable investing. Prior to joining Man Group in 2018, Sam was Head of Alternative Investments at the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Investment, where she supported strategic asset allocation and led the research initiatives for the pension’s Alternative Investment Portfolio. Prior to that, Sam spent seven years as a member of the hedge fund team at PineBridge Investments, formerly AIG Asset Management, and gained experience in nuances of insurance asset management. She started her career as a model developer and trader at R.G. Niederhoffer Capital Management, a short-term systematic hedge fund. Sam has over 25 years of investing experience and holds a BA in Mathematics from Wesleyan University. She is a board member of the Investment Management Due Diligence Association and member of the AIMA Alternative Credit Council Investor and Asset Manager Forum.
